Working on The Edge
UBLA is currently working with Prellwitz Chilinski Associates, Inc. and The Mount Vernon Company on the conversion of a light industrial site in Allston/Brighton into an upscale residential community for a young professional demographic. The proposed 76,000 SF development will consist of 79 one- and two-bedroom loft-style apartment units.
Early schematic courtyard renderings
Working with a drought-tolerant plant palette, UBLA is designing a modern streetscape to complement the planned installation for 9-23 Griggs Street.
The Edge will also feature an outdoor patio / roof garden for resident social activities and amenities, and a spacious entry court with a modern pergola comprised of granite blocks, metal posts, wooden joists and cable rail lathing.
The proposed LEED Silver certifiable community is scheduled to open its doors in 2013.
