The proposal for faculty housing and a pedestrian connection to the main campus required extensive permitting efforts. In addition to review for compliance with zoning code, the Town required a Stormwater Management Permit and Lower Impact Design Permit. The site's dense soils made designing for stormwater detention a challenge, but the resulting homes and pedestrian corridor are strong additions to the campus. Detailed with Ruhl Walker Architects, the linear walkway reinforces the Main Campus' axis, creating a visual and physical link to the arts center, dining halls, administration, and classrooms.
